Dr. Yu Qing (Jenny) Huang is a geriatrician at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto. She completed her PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto and has clinical and research experience across Ontario and Quebec. Her research focuses on improving care and outcomes for older adults with traumatic brain injury, cognitive impairment, and neuropsychiatric symptoms, with particular interests in medication safety, dementia, health services, patient-centered outcomes and health equity. She uses a range of methods, including population-based health administrative data, knowledge synthesis, qualitative research, economic evaluation, and diagnostic validation and machine-learning approaches. Her work also examines how social determinants of health shape access to care, treatment, and outcomes among older adults. She is committed to generating evidence that can inform clinical decision-making, health policy, and the development of more equitable models of care for older adults.
