Dr. Jenny Yu Qing Huang (MD, PhD(c))

Dr. Jenny Yu Qing Huang

Dr. Jenny Yu Qing Huang is a geriatrician at St. Michael’s Hospital and a PhD student in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto.  She received her medical degree from McGill University and then completed her internal medicine residency at Université de Montréal. She came to the University of Toronto to complete her subspecialty residency training in Geriatric Medicine.  

Her doctoral research uses various methodologies such as use of large administrative databases, scoping/systematic reviews, economic evaluations and validation studies using machine learning to explore outcomes and interventions to optimize cognitive health in older adults with traumatic brain injury. She is also studying the intersection between these patients’ social determinants of health, interventions and outcomes. Her research is supported by the University of Toronto Department of Medicine’s Eliot Phillipson Clinician-Scientist Training Program, the Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) doctoral award and the Knowledge Translation Program.
