Is health equity something you’d like to support? Have you ever wondered if/ how we can incorporate health inequity in an economic evaluation? Do you want to hear from global leaders on how they use economic evaluation to support decision-making? Do you ever wonder how to conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis using person-level data (e.g. RCT, hospital databases, ICES databases)?
Outline
Participants will learn how to:
- Identify how to create cost-effectiveness estimates using person-level data and characterizing uncertainty;
- Identify the fundamentals and potential applications of dynamic modelling techniques;
- Understand and apply different approaches for accounting for equity in economic evaluation;
- Identify and critique how economic evaluation evidence has been used to support global health system strengthening efforts;
- Identify and apply strategies for communicating the findings of economic evaluations to non-technical audiences to maximize impact.

Admission
- Prerequisite is HAD5730 from University of Toronto if possible; otherwise, prior biostatistics and economic evaluations
Course Cancellation Policy
- Please note that in-person courses are subject to minimum enrollment requirements – typically around eight participants. If we do not meet the minimum number of registrants, we reserve the right to cancel this course. In such cases, all registrants will be notified at least three weeks in advance and issued a full refund. Where possible, we will also offer the option to transfer to a future session or join a waitlist for upcoming offerings.
