Overview

Are you implementing a new initiative but not sure where to start? The Practicing Knowledge Translation (PKT) course is a professional development course on how to apply KT science to real-world implementation projects in order to enhance and sustain project outcomes. The course focuses on empowering individuals and organizations in the health system with the knowledge, skills and support to do KT effectively. At the course’s conclusion, participants will have a ready-to-use Implementation Action Plan, tailored to their project. This in-person course also provides valuable networking opportunities.

Outline

Participants will learn how to:

  • Map barriers and facilitators to change using theories, models and frameworks
  • Systematically select and operationalize implementation strategies to address barriers and facilitators
  • Plan for implementation, evaluation, and sustainability

  • Knowledge users such as program managers, researchers and educators
