Dr. Gabrielle Chicoine (RN, MSc, PhD), is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Université de Sherbrooke, and an Affiliate Scientist with the KT Program. Her research focuses on implementation science and knowledge mobilization to improve the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of health services. She has expertise in mixed-methods research, patient-oriented research, and the design, implementation, evaluation, and scale-up of evidence-based, equity-informed interventions and implementation strategies.
Dr. Chicoine has authored more than 50 publications in leading journals in her field and has established a growing program of research at the intersection of implementation science and clinical practice. Her work aims to accelerate the mobilization of evidence into practice and policy through partnerships with patients, clinicians, decision-makers, community organizations, and international collaborators. Her current research focuses on improving care for individuals living with concurrent mental health and substance use conditions, advancing health equity among structurally marginalized populations, and identifying the factors and strategies that promote the sustainable implementation of evidence-informed practices across healthcare and community settings.
