Dr. Stefan Baral (MD, MPH, FRCPC, CCFP) is an Affiliate Scientist with the Knowledge Translation Program and a physician epidemiologist and Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Stefan completed his certification in Community Medicine as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Family medicine with the Canadian Council of Family Physicians. Stefan has significant experience with NIH support including co-leading several NIH funded centers focused on supporting implementation research and has published over 500 peer-reviewed manuscripts. In addition, Stefan co-directs the Program for Implementation and Equity Research (PIER) which aims to optimize health and well being among historically marginalized communities. Finally, Stefan provides clinical care and population health services focused on older adults experiencing homelessness in Toronto.
