Fascia iliaca blocks in hip fracture care

Summary

The KT Program conducted a barriers and facilitators assessment and developed an implementation plan for the use of FI Blocks as pain management for hip fracture patients at St. Michael’s. KTP also assisted with the development of an education tool for patients on FI Blocks and a tool for Emergency Department nurses on their role in the FI Block process. We are currently finishing the usability testing of these tools.
