Congratulations to KT Program Scientist Dr. Jenn Watt! After an international search, the Division of Geriatric Medicine is incredibly proud to announce that Dr. Jennifer Watt has been appointed the RTO/ETO Chair in Geriatric Medicine at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. The inaugural holder of the Chair was Dr. Paula Rochon, whose leadership helped establish its strong foundation.
Established in 2015 by the Retired Teachers of Ontario, this Chair supports collaborative research, discovery, and education in geriatric medicine. It advances excellence in research that optimizes the quality of care for older adults living with complex, chronic diseases.
As a clinical epidemiologist, Dr. Watt has emerged as a rising star and a leading expert in network meta-analysis. She has quickly established an international reputation for interdisciplinary work to close critical knowledge and knowledge-to-practice gaps in geriatric medicine, all while teaching and inspiring the next generation of learners and researchers.
