Why did you join the KT Program?
Throughout university, I became very interested in learning how to better translate research for different types of audiences as I believe it’s essential that research is accessible to everyone. While completing my Masters degree in Epidemiology, this interest became a passion. As I learned more about knowledge translation, meaningful collaboration, and evidence synthesis, joining the KTP seemed like a natural fit for me.
What has been the most rewarding project you’ve worked on and why?
Leading the PRISMA extensions for scoping reviews and rapid reviews simultaneously has been incredibly rewarding. I worked closely with knowledge users to develop scoping reviews that identified reporting items to inform updated scoping review guidelines and new rapid review guidelines. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to these guidelines to enhance reporting transparency and completeness in these types of evidence syntheses. I look forward to applying the invaluable skills I gained throughout this experience to future research projects.
Interests outside KTP?
I love playing volleyball and golf, learning how to snowboard, tending to my garden, and exploring the outdoors with my dog Bear.
