Summary

The Healthy Aging in Older Adults Priority Setting Project is a research study to identify health topics that are important to older adults. The goal of this study is to develop and prioritize a list of research questions that aim to improve health and support healthy aging research for older adults. We will develop this list by engaging adults who are 65 years and older, their caregivers, clinicians and others whose work aims to promote healthy aging. Identified questions will then be assessed to determine if they are in scope for research and to ensure they have not already been answered by research. An interim prioritization exercise will take place, where people with an interest in improving health outcomes for older adults rank which questions are most important to them. Finally, there will be a priority-setting workshop where a group of participants discuss the most important questions and agree on a list of the top 10 research questions that the KTP will consider for future research.
