What is Knowledge Translation (KT)?
Knowledge translation (KT) is a bridge between research evidence and real-world practice in an effort to strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes. But how do you apply this evidence? At the KT Program, we believe that we can implement change in the health system better by thinking about change differently. Our approach to KT is rooted in theory and science, but our application of KT is uniquely pragmatic and focused on real-world impact. Our approach to training involves empowering individuals and organizations in the health system with knowledge and support on how to do KT.

Practicing KT course testimonial
“An amazing workshop that actually discussed the concepts of implementation science (IS) and then allowed us to apply them to a situation that we wanted to impact. At the end of the day, colleagues at my table who were new to IS, were saying ‘now it is making sense.’ To have the ability to go from gaining knowledge to actually applying it was incredible. Truly, one of the best workshops I have attended!”
—Sam MacFarlane, Public Health Ontario, (previous participant)
