In partnership with the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, we have developed, and are actively implementing and evaluating a course on the practice of KT, called the Foundations of KT Course. The Course aims to build capacity in the practice of KT amongst both researchers and knowledge users alike using a multi-modal approach that combines in-person workshops, online course materials, mentorship, and a shared learning platform to support participant learning needs and local implementation efforts. Please note that we are no longer accepting applications for this course.
The evaluation component of the Foundations of KT Course explores participant-level experiences with the course, and perceived effectiveness of the course on knowledge, skills and self-efficacy outcomes in the practice of KT. Evaluation results will be used to inform future capacity-building initiatives. This project is funded by a CIHR Operating Grant: Knowledge to Action.
