    • Nine knowledge synthesis methods (e.g., concept synthesis, critical interpretive synthesis, integrative review, meta-ethnography, meta-interpretation, meta-study, meta-synthesis, narrative synthesis, and realist review) were identified in the literature for the purpose of generating and refining theory
    • Guidance for conducting these emerging knowledge synthesis methods are often vague and sometimes absent
