    • Highlighted the need to investigate the consequences of methodological shortcuts used in rapid reviews, which can impact the quality of health care decisions
    • Findings from this review helped inform the conceptualization of the Systematic Prospective Assessment of Rapid Knowledge Synthesis (SPARKS) study, comparing the results from rapid reviews to those obtained through systematic reviews
    • Numerous rapid review approaches were identified in the literature, however inconsistent usage and poor quality of reporting were observed among published rapid reviews
